Just over a year after their formation, COMMIT SUICIDE presents their debut album, "Human Larvae [Earthly Cleansing]", inviting both thoughtful analysis and enthusiastic engagement. Undoubtedly, this album stands as the most formidable deathgrind release to emerge in quite some time - both surprising and expected. On one hand, it is exhilarating to encounter a band so young that possesses a profound grasp of the genre's golden era (1991-1993) in the United States, characterized by chaos and collision. On the other hand, it is equally thrilling to observe the palpable, human urgency that seems to stem from a realization that the established acts have been complacent for too long. The dizzying dissonance of the riffs, the serpentine flow, relentless intensity from track to track, and the remarkable drumming skills of Lee Fisher (performed without triggers) culminate in an astonishingly memorable listening experience - something that is increasingly rare across various metallic genres today. While it may not be categorically groundbreaking, the manner in which it is presented makes it feel fresh and engaging, as the album's 28 minutes pass by all too swiftly, prompting repeated presses of the 'play' button.
